The closest Tecobi alternatives are DealFlo, for stores that want every rep call graded and call summaries, texts and appointments logged to VinSolutions automatically; Matador AI, for franchise stores that want AI phone agents and, at Stellantis stores, co-op funding; and DealerAI, for smaller stores that want posted month-to-month prices, with AI text and email follow-up at $1,499 per rooftop a month and no setup fee on monthly plans. Tecobi is month-to-month too, but each plan adds a one-time setup fee equal to a month of service ($1,995 to $3,995), and its VinSolutions integration keeps automated messages and customer replies in Tecobi rather than the CRM. The differences to weigh are entry cost, what lands in your CRM, and how deep the call coaching goes.
Why dealers look for a Tecobi alternative
Tecobi is an established platform with strong public reviews. The reasons stores compare it are specific, and each one below comes from Tecobi's own pages.
A setup fee on month-to-month
Tecobi's pricing page says "No long-term contract required. Start month to month." On month-to-month, every plan also carries a one-time setup fee equal to a month of service: $1,995, $2,995 or $3,995. The fee shrinks only if you commit for 3, 6 or 12 months.
Text allowances and add-ons
Plans include 15,000, 40,000 or 120,000 texts a month, then $0.10, $0.07 or $0.05 per text over. Human texting through Text Ninjas ($4 per engaged lead) and Meta ad management (20% of ad spend) are billed on top of the platform fee.
What reaches VinSolutions
Tecobi's VinSolutions integration page says human messages, completed calls, appointments and opt-outs are written back, while "Automated messages and individual customer replies remain in TECOBI." If your managers work deals from VinSolutions, the AI side of each conversation lives in a second system.
When the AI texts right after a call
Tecobi shows a 4.9 rating from 793 Google reviews. One 4-star review from March 2026 flagged timing: "Ill get off the phone with a client and it sends a message immediately" (Google review, synced by Tecobi). The same reviewer called the tool great for management and admin.
DealFlo vs Tecobi at a glance
On paper the two are close. Both text new leads around the clock, both sell month-to-month, both record and score phone calls, and both let reps send personal video. DealFlo has no AI voice agent, and we found none on Tecobi's product pages.
The differences are in depth. DealFlo grades every rep call on an automotive rubric with a rapport score, grades voicemails separately, writes the call notes to the CRM, and Riley's next text picks up where the call left off. DealFlo's default cadence runs 13 touches over three years; Tecobi does not publish how long its Auto Bots keep a lead in nurture. DealFlo's rep videos play on a store-branded watch page and ping the rep the moment the customer watches.

Tecobi pricing in 2026
Tecobi posts reference pricing on its own site, last updated May 19, 2026. Every plan includes the same software. Your monthly sales set the tier, and the tier sets the price, the setup fee and the text allowance.
| Plan (cars sold a month) | Month-to-month | One-time setup | 12-month commitment | Texts included | Per text over |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small (100 or fewer) | $1,995/mo | $1,995 | $1,496/mo + $499 setup | 15,000 | $0.10 |
| Medium (100 to 300) | $2,995/mo | $2,995 | $2,246/mo + $749 setup | 40,000 | $0.07 |
| Large (more than 300) | $3,995/mo | $3,995 | $2,996/mo + $999 setup | 120,000 | $0.05 |
Three- and six-month commitments sit in between: 5% or 15% off the monthly fee and 25% or 50% off setup. Tecobi says its prices are "for reference and may vary based on dealership needs, integrations, and selected services." Owini, a Tecobi competitor, wrote in April 2026 that Tecobi did not publish pricing (Owini); Tecobi's own page now does, so trust its numbers over older estimates.
The best Tecobi alternatives
Listed by how well each fits a store coming from Tecobi. DealFlo is our product, so hold its entry to the same standard as the rest.
1. DealFlo

Riley, DealFlo's AI agent, answers every new lead by text and email in under 30 seconds, opens differently for each lead source, and follows up for up to three years. Every rep call is recorded, transcribed and graded, and Riley's next text picks up where the call left off. DealFlo is a certified Cox Automotive partner with a two-way VinSolutions integration.

- Call summaries, texts, emails and appointments logged to the CRM automatically
- 13-touch default cadence over three years, with a fresh angle every touch
- Rep video of the actual car on a store-branded watch page, with an alert when the customer watches

2. Matador AI
Visit siteBest for: Franchise stores that want AI phone agents next to AI texting
Matador sells five AI agents across text, email, chat and phone and says every lead is "answered in 30 seconds" (matador.ai). Its follow-up agent runs "up to about 180 days" (AI Follow-Up), and Nissan's dealer program lists its sales agent at $1,999 a month (Nissan program matrix).
Strengths
- Call AI answers inbound, overflow and after-hours calls
- 100% co-op eligible at Stellantis stores, subject to fund availability
- Rep video messaging inside the conversation
Watch-outs
- Term set in the order form; auto-renews unless you give 30 days' written notice
- Follow-up runs up to about 180 days, per its own FAQ
- No public page on grading reps' own phone calls
3. DealerAI
Visit siteBest for: Smaller stores that want posted prices and month-to-month terms
DealerAI posts per-rooftop pricing: $599 a month for website chat and AI texting, $1,499 with AI follow-up by text and email, and $2,299 with Voice AI, voice minutes extra. Its pricing page says "Month-to-month; cancel anytime with 30 days notice" and shows no setup fee on monthly plans (pricing).
Strengths
- Published prices from $599 per rooftop per month
- Month-to-month, with no setup fee on monthly plans
- Voice AI, outbound campaigns and review requests on the top plan
Watch-outs
- Voice AI only on the $2,299 plan, with minutes billed on top
- Its named case studies are mostly Canadian stores
- No grading of human rep calls found on its site
4. Podium
Visit siteBest for: Stores that want texting, phones, reviews and payments from one vendor
Podium's AI employee, Jerry, works sales and service leads across text, webchat, Facebook, Instagram and email (Sales AI), and its Voice AI answers service calls and books into Xtime or Tekion (Service AI). FordDirect added Podium's AI to its program in August 2025 (Just Auto).
Strengths
- Texting, phones, webchat, reviews and payments on one platform
- Voice AI that answers service calls and books into Xtime or Tekion
- In FordDirect's program for Ford and Lincoln dealers
Watch-outs
- Default 12-month term that auto-renews, paid annually in advance
- No early exit: the full term's fees stay owed
- Pricing is quote-only
5. Impel
Visit siteBest for: Ford, Lincoln and Stellantis stores that can fund AI with co-op
Impel runs sales, service, chat, marketing and merchandising AI on one platform. At FordDirect stores its Sales, Chat, Service and Voice AI are "100% co-op eligible," and so is its Stellantis Sales AI (OEM programs).
Strengths
- Breadth: sales, service, marketing and merchandising AI
- Heavy OEM co-op coverage, including FordDirect and Stellantis
- Personalized AI avatar video of the rep for each lead
Watch-outs
- Auto-renews at then-current prices unless cancelled 90 days ahead
- Moving conversation data to a new provider can cost at least 3x the monthly fees
- No prices on its site; Nissan's program lists Sales AI at $1,949 a month
Where Tecobi still wins
Tecobi has real strengths, and some stores should stay.
- Posted prices. Tecobi publishes its prices, text allowances and overage rates. DealFlo does not publish pricing.
- Track record. Tecobi was founded in 2016 (founder bio) and shows a 4.9 rating from 793 Google reviews on its reviews page.
- People when you want them. Its Response Bot "routes high-judgment moments to humans" (Response Bot), and Text Ninjas adds US-based remote texters for $4 per engaged lead.
- More than follow-up. Every plan includes desking, a desk log, a document center, website widgets and unlimited users, and managers can "Listen, whisper, or barge when enabled" on calls (call tracking).
- No small-store penalty. Small, Medium and Large plans include the same software; plan size changes the price and the text allowance, not the features.
Who should stay on Tecobi
Stores that run their desk in Tecobi, value posted pricing, or lean on Text Ninjas for human coverage. If your managers live in Tecobi rather than VinSolutions, its write-back limits matter less. And if the platform is booking appointments and your team likes it, the case for moving is thin.
How to switch from Tecobi without losing a lead
- Read your agreement. Tecobi's pricing page offers month-to-month terms but does not publish cancellation or notice terms, so check your signed agreement for a notice window and for the end date of any 3-, 6- or 12-month commitment.
- Give notice in writing, the way your agreement specifies, and keep a copy.
- Run DealFlo alongside. DealFlo is month-to-month and runs next to what you already use. Move one or two lead sources first and keep each lead in one system, so no customer gets texts from both.
- Repoint lead routing. Forward your ADF lead sources to DealFlo, or connect VinSolutions through DealFlo's two-way integration. Tecobi's VinSolutions integration pulls new leads about every minute, so adjust its lead-pull settings so the two systems never work the same lead.
- Bring over aged leads. Export unsold and dead leads with their opt-out and DNC status and load them into DealFlo for reactivation. DealFlo checks opt-out and DNC status before every message.
- Set up call grading. Connect your reps' calls so every one is recorded, transcribed and graded from the first day.
- Cut over. Move the remaining sources and switch off Tecobi's Auto Bots and broadcasts before the account closes.
How we compared
We read Tecobi's own pages in September 2026: the homepage, the pricing page, the platform pages for Auto Bots, Response Bot, call tracking and video messaging, the VinSolutions integration page and the Google reviews Tecobi syncs to its site. Other vendors' details come from their own sites, terms and OEM program sheets, listed under Sources.
DealFlo wrote this page, and DealFlo's entries describe our product as it runs today. "Not published" in the table means the vendor does not document that item publicly; it may still exist. If anything here is wrong or out of date, contact us and we will correct it.
Frequently asked questions
Is Tecobi month-to-month?
Yes. Tecobi's pricing page says "No long-term contract required. Start month to month." Month-to-month plans carry a one-time setup fee equal to one month, the lower rates require a 3-, 6- or 12-month commitment, and cancellation terms are not published, so check your agreement.
How much does Tecobi cost?
Tecobi publishes reference pricing: $1,995, $2,995 or $3,995 a month by store size, plus a one-time setup fee of the same amount on month-to-month. A 12-month commitment lowers that to $1,496, $2,246 or $2,996 a month with a smaller setup fee, and texts over the allowance cost $0.05 to $0.10 each (tecobi.com/pricing).
Does Tecobi grade my salespeople's phone calls?
Yes, for calls that run through Tecobi. Its call tracking records them and adds AI summaries, transcripts, sentiment, scores and scorecards for coaching. DealFlo grades every rep call on an automotive rubric with a rapport score, grades voicemails separately, and feeds the call into Riley's next text.
Does Tecobi send the AI conversation to VinSolutions?
Not all of it. Tecobi's VinSolutions page says human messages, completed calls, appointments and opt-outs are written back, while "Automated messages and individual customer replies remain in TECOBI." DealFlo logs call summaries, texts, emails and appointments to the CRM automatically.
Can DealFlo run alongside Tecobi?
Yes. DealFlo runs next to what a store already uses and is month-to-month, so you can move lead sources over one at a time. Keep each lead in one system so customers never get texts from both.
Does DealFlo have an AI voice agent?
No. DealFlo does not answer calls with an AI voice. Calls ring your reps, and DealFlo records, transcribes, grades and coaches every one.
